History

The Data Co-Op was founded in 1996 as a non-profit, community-based organization to serve the needs of social service providers within San Joaquin County. Many providers required social and economic data to plan activities or to apply for federal or state support for new programs.

In the following 6 years the Data Co-Op underwent considerable expansion, so that by 2002, we were able to offer a comprehensive range of research and consulting services, from county-wide needs assessments and strategic planning services to individual project level evaluations.
